本学期，在院领导的关怀下，经过人事处大力的协调与推荐，外语系有幸聘请到双博士人才――英国爱丁堡大学文学博士、音乐学院博士后研究员贺�U滨先生。

       贺博士不仅在英语教学、文学理论，西欧文学史及作为参照系统的中国文学史造诣颇深，而且对西洋音乐史及器乐演奏，计算机文字处理系统等有很深的研究。他曾先后在河南大学中文系、英国爱丁堡大学文学院、英国爱丁堡大学音乐学院、英国各类技术公司、中央及地方政府代表团以及社区社团等任教或担任口译、笔译等。贺博士近期主要出版的著作有《东西方言情剧形态比较尝试》（英文）、《长生殿》（英文）、《中国古诗译释》（英文）、《论文及译文》（英文）等著作。贺博士拟执教以下课程：英语写作与口语、英语论文写作、英文文学欣赏等。

      外语系对贺博士的到来表示热烈的欢迎。

Foreign Languages Department Bringing in Double-doctoral Talent

Under the care of the school leaders, with the assistance and recommendation of the Personnel Office, Foreign Languages Department has honorably invited a double-doctoral talent―Mr. He Yubin to work with us this semester. Dr. He, as a post-doctoral researcher in the Music College of Edinburgh University, has also received its Doctor’s Degree of Arts.

Dr. He has achieved great attainment not only in English teaching, literature theory, western European literature history and Chinese literature history, but also in western music history, the play of musical instruments and the word processing systems in computers. He has been teaching in the Chinese Department of Henan University, Literature and Music College of Edinburgh University. Many technical companies and delegations of the central and local governments have invited him to give lectures as well. Besides, Dr. He worked as interpreter and translator occasionally. His recent works are as follows: “Formal Comparison Between Eastern And Western Affection Plays”, “Chang Sheng Dian”(English), “The Translation of Ancient Chinese Poems”(English), “Essay and Its Translation”(English), etc. Dr. He is going to teach “English Writing and Speaking”, “English Essays” and “The Appreciation of American and British Literature”. In addition to the regular teaching task, he will give some academic lectures.
